About Me

Certified Pilates Instructor.

Certified Personal Trainer NASM.

Cyclist, Swimmer, Lifelong Learner.

I discovered Pilates in 2008.  It has been a major part of my life ever since. In my teens, I was a competitive equestrian. In my twenties, I was an aimless gym-goer just checking the box.  I never considered myself strong, coordinated or athletic. In my thirties I became what I suppose you'd call a non-competitive endurance athlete.  Pilates was key to that evolution.  It was the first form of exercise that made me feel something: a deep form of strength, and a powerful connection between my mind and my body.  It gave me an awareness of my structure, posture, and alignment. It gave me the confidence to ditch an elliptical machine for a road bike and to venture back into swimming after a decades-long hiatus. It made me feel capable on a weight room floor.

I’ve worked with clients ranging in age from 12 to 83, and from all walks of life. Through thoughtfully choreographed sessions, precise cueing and attention to detail, I will help you to find more than just your six pack muscle.  We are not born into our bodies with owners manuals.  My goal is to help you to develop one.  I will teach you how to feel the body you are living in, not just occupy it, and to move with intention, not arbitrarily.  I will give you tools to create and preserve strength and structural integrity, which are key to thriving in the most challenging endurance sport: life.
